Privacy Policy for Pixel Ruler Studio

Summary

Pixel Ruler Studio is a local web page measurement extension. It processes limited information on the user's device only when the user opens the extension and starts the measurement overlay on the current tab.

Pixel Ruler Studio does not transmit page content, browsing information, measurements, or preferences to the publisher or any third party. It does not sell or share user data and does not use data for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, or model training.

Information processed on the device

Pixel Ruler Studio does not access Chrome's browsing-history database. It does not intentionally read form values, passwords, authentication credentials, cookies, personal communications, or full page text as part of its measurement feature.

Information stored locally

Pixel Ruler Studio uses chrome.storage.local to save only these preferences on the user's device:

Page URLs, page content, element identifiers, and measurement results are not stored persistently by the extension.

Data transmission, sale, and sharing

Pixel Ruler Studio has no account system, analytics, telemetry, advertising SDK, external API, cloud service, or publisher-operated server.

The extension does not request permanent host permissions and does not execute remote code.

Retention and deletion

Current measurements and limited element information exist only in memory. They are cleared when the user clears the measurement, exits the overlay, presses Escape, reloads or closes the page, or closes the tab.

Stored preferences remain on the device until the user changes them, clears the extension's local data, or uninstalls the extension. Uninstalling Pixel Ruler Studio causes Chrome to remove the extension's local storage.

Text copied to the system clipboard is controlled by the user's operating system and can be replaced by copying other content.

Third-party services

Pixel Ruler Studio does not connect to third-party services. Websites visited by the user may have their own data practices, which are outside the control of Pixel Ruler Studio.

Limited Use

Pixel Ruler Studio's use of information received from Chrome APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Changes to this policy

If a future version changes how information is processed, stored, or transmitted, this policy and the Chrome Web Store disclosures will be updated before that version is published.
