Window Weave Privacy Policy

Summary

Window Weave is local-first. It has no account, server, analytics, advertising, telemetry, cloud sync, or third-party API. It does not sell, share, or upload user data.

Data processed

The extension reads normal, non-incognito Chrome window bounds and tab counts to show the current layout. When the user explicitly saves a workspace, it stores the workspace name, each window's position and size, tab URLs, and normalized preview geometry. It does not read page content, store tab titles/form fields, or process incognito windows.

Local storage

chrome.storage.local stores presets, workspace geometry/tab URLs, preferences, and the last layout identifier. A one-level undo snapshot is held in chrome.storage.session only for the browser session. User-triggered JSON export/import can contain sensitive saved tab URLs.

APIs and permissions

No host permissions or content scripts are used.

Network transfer

No application network requests are made. Data is not transmitted. Restoring a tab causes Chrome itself to navigate to the saved URL.

Collection, sale, analytics, and sharing

No publisher-side collection, sale, sharing, advertising, analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, tracking, or remote logging occurs.

Limited Use

Chrome API information is used only to save, apply, and restore Chrome window layouts and user-requested workspaces. It is not used for advertising, transferred to data brokers, used to build profiles, or used for unrelated purposes. Human access does not occur because data is not transmitted.

Retention

Local data remains until deleted, replaced by import, cleared, or the extension is uninstalled. Session undo data ends with the browser session.

Children

This general productivity tool is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

Material changes update this policy and listing before release.
